Siyam World Maldives has announced two senior leadership promotions, reinforcing its continued focus on investing in its people and cultivating leaders who shape the character and culture of the resort. Alee Siyam has been promoted from Executive Assistant Manager to Director of Operations, while Giselle Encinareal moves from Director of Talent and Culture to Executive Assistant Manager.
Giselle steps into her new role with more than 20 years of experience gained across several of the Maldives’ leading luxury resorts. Since rejoining Sun Siyam in 2022, she has played a central role in strengthening the resort’s internal culture. During her tenure as Director of Talent and Culture at Siyam World, she led initiatives centered on development, learning, and care throughout the organisation. As Executive Assistant Manager, she now oversees the resort’s Back-of-House functions, including Talent and Culture, Learning and Development, and Quality Assurance, continuing to support the resort’s welcoming and authentic service ethos through people-focused leadership.
Alee’s appointment as Director of Operations marks a significant milestone in a career that began with Sun Siyam Resorts in 2016. After completing the Management Trainee programme, he progressed steadily through the organisation and was closely involved in the pre-opening phase of Siyam World. In his new position, Alee is responsible for overseeing the resort’s full operational scope, directing teams, refining service delivery, and shaping guest experiences through a leadership style known for its composure and forward-thinking approach.
